In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal statement, "A strange encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission focuses on "strange tests and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
