An extensive two-month journey circling the Land Down Under is being halted days after the fatal incident of an older female passenger who was abandoned by the ship on a isolated tropical isle.

The elderly woman had been hiking on the remote island with other travelers from the cruise ship, but separated from the excursion for a break. The ship left without her and came back after some time after the personnel became aware the woman was unaccounted for.

An extensive hunt located her remains the next day.
