The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
