The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of personalities, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the city.

Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season are included.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of characters who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

First, the party knows exactly where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then settled his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as key figures in the influential clan could enable the group reach areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Explorers and Planners parties.

Viewers can look forward to finding out which characters will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, released on the upcoming Thursday.
